In 1997, the Phyllis Goldman Encouragement Award for Women was created to recognize women who have pursued an entrepreneurial endeavor and to encourage other women to do the same. The award honors the memory of Phyllis Goldman, an Auburn business owner, who inspired and encouraged many woman to follow their dreams and nurture their professional and entrepreneurial spirit.
The Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce this year presented the 2012 Phyllis Goldman Encouragement Award for Women to Jane Fox on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Emerson Pavilion. For the past 35 years, Jane has been an iconic woman you know and trust in the automotive sales industry. It was her vision that brought the Fox Dealerships to the level of sales and service it now occupies in the Central New York region.
